TROY, N.C. — Jesse Smith Capel passed away on October 20 at the age of 90.

Born on November 17, 1932, Capel graduated in 1954 with a bachelor’s degree in textile management from N.C. State University. He first served in the U.S. Army, then joined the family business, Capel, Inc., in 1957, where he made significant contributions in the areas of finance, importing and manufacturing until his retirement in 2007.

ANDMORE℠ today announced the hiring of Adam Tracey in a newly created role of Senior Vice President of Operations for the High Point campus. Nourison Home has appointed Michael Pitman as the new VP of Sales. In this pivotal role, Pitman will lead and oversee the company’s dynamic sales team, furthering Nourison Home’s mission to provide innovative floor coverings and home accessories to the interiors market.

Pitman brings over 40 years of experience in the furniture industry to Nourison Home. Prior to joining Nourison Home, Pitman most recently held senior sales management roles with Ashley Furniture, was the CEO/President of Durham Furniture as well as held executive sales positions with Schnadig Furniture and Lexington Home Brands.
