Atlanta Market kicked off ANDMORE's Winter 2025 shows with renewed energy and optimism, drawing buyers from around the globe to AmericasMart Atlanta from January 14 to January 20, 2025. With an 8% increase in attendance to open the week, Atlanta set the stage for an abundant buying year for the gift and home industry.
"Atlanta Market was electric this Winter with a surge in buying activity and palpable enthusiasm throughout the AmericasMart campus," said Jon Pertchik, ANDMORE℠ CEO. "The collective success of our buyers and exhibitors underscores the strength of our industry and the enduring value we provide to our customers."
Buyers Start 2025 with Diverse Sourcing Opportunities and New Connections
The Winter 2025 edition of Atlanta Market welcomed buyers from all 50 states with increased southwestern attendance – plus Puerto Rico, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands – as well as 50+ international countries, including significant gains in Canadian attendance.
The Market drew influential retailers, including Anthropologie, Bergdorf Goodman, Costco Wholesale, JCPenney, Kirkland's, LL Bean, Marriott, NBC Universal, Nordstrom, Target, The Walt Disney Company and Urban Outfitters. These retailers represent just a few of the nearly 90 key accounts at Atlanta Market this January.
Independent retailers looking to refresh offerings came to AmericasMart Atlanta with the promise of dynamic, cross-category sourcing. Apparel buying was up 10% compared to last Winter, highlighting the growing importance of Market activation across three buildings.
"I love Atlanta Market for so many reasons, but the most important is how welcome I feel, combined with a solid selection of vendors," said Stephanie Gray, owner of Madison Marketplace, a gift and apparel boutique in Roxboro, NC. "This market is so convenient to visit, and I love that I can source products from all over the world in one place."
With some 15 buying groups present at the gift and home buying event, a vast catalog of buyers converged to diversify their retail mix in the new year.
Heather Smith, president of The Good Toy Group, said, "There is nothing more vital to The Good Toy Group than attending the January Atlanta Market. Every year – but especially in 2025 – we reset the retail landscape and set our course for what the future has in store."
Cross-Category Gains Excite Gift and Home Industry
With more than 40 updates to its expansive 1,000+ gift and home showroom portfolio, AmericasMart offered endless opportunities for discovery and sourcing this Winter. Many exhibitors cited Atlanta Market as an essential tool for their business, reporting confidence and tangible gains as the industry welcomes a new buying year.
Detailing a bustling Market week, exhibitors noted the importance of investing in face-to-face opportunities and connecting with buyers in a physical marketplace. "There will always be a place for this Market," said Janice Christensen, president of nora fleming, who expanded in Atlanta this Winter with experiential elements throughout its Building 2 showroom. "The ability to gather and connect with the industry and maintain relationships through in-person Markets is something that can't be replicated."
Gift sales agencies also chimed in to share their success. "This was the busiest Atlanta show the industry has, maybe, ever seen," said Wes Hardin, Diverse Marketing CEO, in a LinkedIn post. "Diverse Marketing and SE Marketplace will shatter all-time records...Nothing sets the tone for a year like Atlanta, and the outlook couldn't be brighter."
Revitalized confidence within the furniture and home decor sector echoed throughout the AmericasMart campus. Tyler Lynch, CODARUS territory manager said, "Atlanta Market sets the tone for retailers and the interior design trade for the remainder of the year. Strong attendance, exceptional attention to detail from the ANDMORE team and profitability all capture why so many buyers choose Atlanta as their first trade show of the year."
According to exhibitors, the Winter 2025 launch of Atlanta Market's 1,400+ temporary exhibitors encompassing seven categories across Buildings 2 and 3, delivered increased exposure to new accounts. Temporary offerings this January included exhibitors from more than 20 countries, providing attendees with international resource discovery in one central location.
"Atlanta Market is the one place where we can meet new accounts from all over the world," said Juan Weil, owner of Ladorada, an exhibitor in HIGH DESIGN. "Being in the temps is especially special for us, because buyers consistently make time to visit our booth. We've found an amazing home here."
For the second consecutive Atlanta Market, the temporary exhibits' Best Booth Awards featured a "People's Choice" winner in the gift and home temporaries, leveraging social media to engage buyers and exhibitors alike. This Winter, Table of Clay (wool rugs, pillows and furniture) won the popular vote among four standout contenders.
