Nazmiyal Auctions has announced its fall online rug and carpet auction for Sunday, September 26 beginning at 11 a.m. EST. Featuring over 158 curated antique and vintage rugs and carpets with attractive starting prices, this sale is an excellent buying opportunity for both the Interior Design community and people buying for themselves.

A wide variety of carpets in range of style, age, condition and size will be on offer and there is sure to be a rug or carpet to fit your needs. Whether you are looking for a small accent rug or an oversize carpet for a living room, there are endless possibilities with examples from the Caucasus, Persia, China, Sweden and Europe.

A charming 19th century Seychour Runner (lot 2013 shown above) and a colorful Fachralo Kazak Rug (lot 2063) are highlights from a collection of Caucasian Rugs consigned from a Florida Estate. Another Caucasian highlight is a Kurdish runner (lot 2003) with a highly unusual design of Ersari-like guls.

Persian examples include lot 2006, a rare Bakhtiari carpet that is signed and dated (AH 1331/1913 AD), lot 2005, an ivory Serapi carpet with an allover mina khani design, lot 2131, a Souf Kashan rug with a gold metallic thread ground, and lot 2088 a saffron Lavar Kirman carpet with a floral bouquet repeat. An exquisite Mashahir Pictorial Kirman Carpet depicting the Leaders of the World is the top lot of the sale and is a true collector’s piece (lot 2097).

A rare circa 1930 signed Ivan Da Silva Bruhns Art Deco carpet is a standout, while other interesting options include a group of Vintage Moroccan rugs (lots 2020-2028), a selection of Jules Leleu French Art Deco Carpets (lots 2042-2046), and several signed Swedish Kilims (lots 2029-2041).

Other notable pieces include an unusually narrow Chinese runner (lot 2049), an oversized burgundy ground Agra (lot 2059), a powerful ivory ground Ushak Carpet (lot 2095) and two Charles X Aubusson Rugs (lots 2133 and 2134).
