Zollanvari are delighted to be presenting their latest designer rugs shipped pre- the latest embargo on the importation of Iranian carpets into the US at The Rug Show, New York, Booth 515 in Hall 3B of the Javits Center NYC. The Show runs 25 through 28 August, 2018.
The Rug Show, New York is the only rug specific show catering to the consumer and trade markets in North America and featuring some of the most renowned producers and wholesalers. As in previous years, the show is held in conjunction with the area rug industry’s most important Fall NY/NJ markets. The iconic Javits Convention Center is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan at 655 W 34th St, New York, NY 10001.
Unveiled for the first time in the USA will be our full Anar Collection designed by NOV24 Studio, Vienna, taking inspiration from childhood memories of pomegranate (anar) trees, as well as those from numerous travels to Iran over the years – memories that have informed the designers’ thought process in the creation of this contemporary carpet collection with pomegranate motifs. This collection represents a personal journey through fond remembrances of Iran translated into designer-carpets for modern interiors – carpets with soul, history, innovative spirit and design virtuosity.
Designs shown above left to right: Chimera 23, Gabbehs Abstract & Plain, Graffiti 2c, Gabbehs Abstract & Plain, Blue Tiger 2, Gabbehs Flora & Fauna and Floral Medallions with Arabesque Contours in Hues of Burnished Red on a Silver Blue Ground, New Indian Wool & Silk.
Other collections and designs on show will include: Chimera (Gabbehs meet rothko’esque minimalism), Tiles (traditional Gabbeh ‘squares’ reinterpreted with delicate vertical lines in varying colours giving an impression of a tiled roof) and Graffiti (archaic Gabbeh motifs transformed into a thoroughly contemporary design with a twist and in a combination of cool pastel and zany vibrant colours). Also on display will be a selection of Zollanvari’s tribal and city designs, including other Designer Isfahan carpets in trend colors and their multi-purpose coffers from the Home Décor Collection. Last but not least, an entirely new collection of wool and silk carpets made in India, Floral Medallions with Arabesque Contours, will be launched at the show, specifically developed for the US market.
