Kalaty Rug Corporation announced that in September the company will open a new 1,700-square-foot NYC showroom in the Textile Building at 295 Fifth Avenue, suite #508.
For more than two decades Kalaty operated showrooms on Park Avenue South and subsequently moved to 7 West 34th. Over the past several years, Kalaty has operated a to-the-trade showroom at its Long Island headquarters. The company’s return to New York City represents a renewed commitment to service local New York clientele as well as to provide easier access for customers during New York rug and textile markets.
“We see this new showroom location in the prestigious Textile Building as a very positive move for Kalaty,” says company president Ramin Kalaty. “We are looking forward to working with dealers and designers at our new New York City showroom. Our recently expanded rug collections include an ever broader variety of designs, colors, weave types and custom capabilities, which makes our return to the New York City market all the more exciting.”
The Kalaty family Oriental rug business originated more than 100 years ago in Iran under Mirza Kalaty’s grandfather, and in 1979 Mirza established the company in the USA. Today Mirza and his five sons – Ramin, Mike, Farshad, Ariel and Kamran – operate the company. And recently Kalaty Rug Corporation has expanded with a new generation now proudly entering the family business, which continues to progress through design, innovative coloring and finishing, as well as through its ongoing commitment to provide customers with a broad selection of superior quality area rugs along with unparalleled service. Kalaty currently operates showrooms in New York, Atlanta and Las Vegas.
