Bridals by Lori, set of the hit TLC show Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, recently selected four Karastan Studio by Mohawk Home area rugs to feature throughout main areas of the store during a recent remodeling project in the famed Atlanta salon.
Bridals by Lori is known to service over 10,000 brides annually in the expansive 25,000 s/f location which offers couture bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses and tuxedos to customers around the world. The Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta reality show, in the series’ tenth season, airs in 150 countries by TLC’s parent company, Discovery Communications.
Lori Allen, owner of the store where the show is filmed and star of Say Yes, has a keen eye, not only for fashion, but also for interior design. Allen is known to be hands on regarding what textiles are featured in the salon. The recent store update incorporates aqua, grey and taupe colorways in the salon, with the goal of providing a soothing and relaxing atmosphere.
“Bridals by Lori is an upscale salon, and it’s important that the interiors reflect the clientele we’re serving. Also, the bride is centerstage both on set and in day-to-day operations, so the visual and color of the couture bridal gowns must be a priority when selecting interior textiles,” said Allen. “After much research, the Karastan Studio by Mohawk Home rugs achieved our design goal and met our durability and cleanability requirements. Although thousands of customers have walked across the rugs, they still look brand new.”
For the main lobby of the store, Allen selected Karastan Studio Serenade Arietta Abyss. On the bridal floor and in the shoe department, Karastan Studio Adante is featured. Both rugs are made of triexta with built-in stain and soil protection that never washes or wears off. According to Allen, between rolling camera carts, 20-person bridal entourages and thousands of weekend shoppers, the rugs have already survived—and conquered—the traffic test and remained clean and beautiful.
