Chatalbash by Costikyan™ Introduces Jade Green Eco-Friendly Rug Pad |
 Chatalbash by Costikyan™, the new company created by Restoration
by Costikyan’s purchase of the Chatalbash Company, introduces Jade Green, a superior, environmentally friendly
rug pad. Manufactured by Jade Industries exclusively for Chatalbash by
Costikyan™, Jade
Green is fabricated
of open cell natural rubber tapped from rubber trees (a renewable source) and
jute, a natural plant fiber. It contains no PVC’s or synthetic rubber and is
completely biodegradable. The pad offers non-skid grip on laminated, hard wood,
tile and other hard surface floors. The Jade Green pad allows carpets to breathe
protects your floors and can be effortlessly vacuumed. Guaranteed not to
discolor, mar or stick to any floor surface, it is easily trimmed to fit any
size rug.
Through a partnership with Trees for
the Future, Jade Industries and Chatalbash by Costikyan™ will plant a tree for each Jade
Green pad that is
sold. The trees will be planted in India, where deforestation and the ravaging
effects of climate change have devastated many areas of the country. The trees
will be fast growing and indigenous to their locations. Protecting fragile
environments from erosion and replacing carbon dioxide with life-sustaining
oxygen, these trees will contribute to the improvement of water and food
sources and will help some devastated communities return to their formerly sustainable
and diverse environments. Since 1988, Trees for the Future has helped
communities plant over 47 million trees worldwide and the number continues to
increase. It is estimated that each year these trees will remove 2,500 tons of
pollution from the global atmosphere.
