Well-known rug company with national presence is expanding into the Boston area and seeking a showroom manager.
Basic responsibilities include sourcing and prospecting sales leads using various sources. Showroom manager will manage showroom operation, work with corporate marketing staff to develop sales tools and marketing materials for customers, provide product knowledge training and offer excellent customer service to clients. Additional responsibilities will include working in tandem with others on sales and marketing strategies.
Preferred background includes 2-5 years experience in a similar capacity, knowledge of rugs, excellent organizational skills, excellent sales and presentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Position may grow to include sales staff. Experienced at dealing with all levels of customers, especially designers, and providing consultative account management. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Salary commensurate with experience level and knowledge of new and antique rugs.
Experience with oriental rugs desired. General computer knowledge necessary – will train on our personalized software. Entry of purchase orders, incoming shipments, check stock for customers and various office duties. Convenient location close to I287, NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway.
