The Rug Market America Realigns Trade Show Calendar to Better Serve Retailer Focus and Marketplace Demand

Coral Cascades from the Resort Collection will debut at upcoming markets.

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Rug Market America announced its decision to revise its current and future trade show calendar to better focus on retailer demand. The realignment will be coupled with an incentive program for retail partners.

“Our participation at trade shows across market segments has always been determined by assessing the most advantageous to our retail partners,” said Mike Shabtai, founder and owner of The Rug Market America. “We realize that as trade shows demand commitment in time and expense from both our retail buyers and our sales team, it is our responsibility to make sure the venues are thoroughly vetted and provide the best platform for all.”

The Las Vegas Market was dropped from the 2012 schedule and is being reviewed for 2013. The August 2012 New York International Gift Fair schedule is being added to the show as The Rug Market reviews additional shows. Shows for 2012 included the High Point Market, the ABC Kids Expo, the Dallas Gift/and Furniture Market,  Atlanta Gift and Home, and the International Area Rug Market.

In addition to changes within the trade show schedule, The Rug Market is launching a promotion to share savings with customers due to show realignment. “Our pre-show marketing will include a 20% discount for orders through September 30, 2012,” said Shabtai. “Retailers can inquire within our sales department to learn full details.”
