Capel Rugs Sets the Style Trends at Spring High Point Market

TROY, NC — Capel Rugs' fabulous new designs will be unveiled at the upcoming High Point Furniture Market. In the spirit of the company's new style point of view™, Capel promises an engaging experience with vivid color palettes, vignettes that tell stories through layering, arrangement and hue — along with revelatory new direction in design.

Known for her hip, urban style, Genevieve Gorder's unique design sensibility will be a backdrop for Capel's fashion-forward introductions this spring. After the major success of Gorder's flat-woven rugs (when she joined forces with Capel in October 2011) the anticipation of her four new collections is significant, and their unveiling, with Genevieve herself in attendance, promises to be a signature moment at this year's Market.

Capel's homage to color and innovation continues in the six new collections from the company's well-loved Capel Braids-American Originals™ line and an outdoor version of the ever-popular woven Hampton collection. These newest introductions pay tribute to Capel's Made in America roots while incorporating designs that emphasize custom options, outdoor constructions, and striking arrangements of color and texture.

Capel's Bear Creek braided rugs are made in a sturdy wool blend. These area rugs are inspired by the ruggedly, beautiful mountain country. The new colorways include: olive branch, night train multi and java. Bear Creek is 100% reversible and made in the USA.

A unique tonal braid collection, Heathered easily pairs with a range of lifestyles and furnishings.The exclusive Capel braid construction adds textural appeal. New color introductions are grey, pinwheel navy, scarlet red, and java. Made of a sturdy wool blend in the USA.
Sophisticated neutrals are on trend in Capel's Haven collection. Created with a lovely textural appeal for visual interest. Haven is available in four colorways — oatmeal, grey, beige and mink. Composed of NZ Wool/Polyester and made in the USA.

The new Regatta Rugs are redolent of old naval style with an attractive mixture of contrasting yet complementary colors. Reds, blues, yellows, and greens create a beautiful braided sensation. Regatta is available in five colorways - sunshine, seafoam, moonlight, maritime and nautical. Composed of polypropylene/nylon and made in the USA.

Expanding on the success of Capel's woven Hampton collection, the company takes this popular style to the great outdoors. Grassy Island rugs are woven of 100% polypropylene. The collection is available in two colorways: seagrass and seagrass stripe. Made in the USA.
