Momeni Hires Tashjian, Expands Custom Program

CARLSTADT, NJ – Momeni announced the appointment of Douglas Tashjian to the newly created position of Custom Program Director.  A longtime veteran of the area rug industry, Tashjian served in management positions with both Tufenkian and Megerian Carpets. In his most recent position, he was manager of Floorworks, Inc., a custom rug company with a focus on Nepalese development. Tashjian will report to Reza Momeni, President of Momeni.

“Douglas is a well known talent in this industry, being able to add him to our team will bring our Momeni Concepts custom program to a new level—making beautiful rugs has been his life’s work,” said Momeni.

The move marks a major expansion of Momeni Concepts, the Momeni branded custom rug program that was launched several years ago. The updated program will be introduced at the July Atlanta Area Rug market and will feature custom development from all over the world including China, India, Nepal and even North America.
